5 Ways Social Media Can Improve Your Productivity as an Entrepreneur

Social media is now one of the most effective online marketing strategies. And it’s significance in boosting sales and profit for many online businesses is somewhat unmatchable – for now.

In this age, every business needs social media marketing. Though it may not work for you, it’s worth testing. But, chances are very bright that you’ll get great results from it.

Even if you operate an offline business, social media can still work magically well for you.

You may have wondered for ages, how social media can help your business. However, all you need at this time is some enlightenment.

Now, let’s discuss how social media can grow your business – small or big – and improve your productivity. Here are 5 ways:

1. It increases brand awareness

By creating a page or profile on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn,  etc., and attracting followers, more people become aware of your business or brand and what products and services you offer.

Of course people will only become customers only after knowing what you have to offer. So, with social media, you can spread word about your business – your products or services, your core competencies, and what makes you different from others.

The more helpful people find your products or services, the faster your business gains popularity over social media (that’s why you should concentrate on aspects you’re genius in).

2. It improves your online visibility

By driving your business wild on social media, you’ll be rewarded with increased online visibility How?

Search engines now attach much credibility to content shared on social media. They believe only quality content is shared. So, the more your social media updates and posts get shared, the more the number of backlinks to your profiles or pages. And since – expectedly – your social media profiles are linked with your website or blog, you can expect a higher ranking in search engine listings.

3. It enhances effective communication and interaction with customers

Daily, most people spend hours on social media sites. And they’re getting more and more comfortable communicating through it than most other media.

What could be more interesting to your potential customers than being able to talk business with you directly via your social media profiles?

With social media, you’ll reach out to more people at once, and communicate more smoothly and effectively. Or you still cannot figure out how?

Now look at this:

Customers can only reach you on phone within certain hours of the day, right? And you can only see their fax messages when you’re at work, right? But with social media, you can respond to them on the move, using your tablet or smart phone. Though the email is a close match, it’s not fun-filled like social media.

4. It brings your customers together

Apart from helping you build a strong relationship with your clients, social media also helps enhance interpersonal relationships between your customers. They get to meet and interact with each other.

And you know what?

As they build a strong community, they enlighten themselves about your products and services, and discuss how to make your business work best for them.  And all that’s a big plus for you, isn’t it?

5. It opens doors for new opportunities

With greatly increased brand awareness – thanks to social media – other businesses will want to partner with you. Others may even offer to buy your business – the choice is yours in this case.

A partnership offer will strengthen your business, and will ease your efforts at keeping it alive.

What else could be more mouth-watering?

Do you now see how social media can make a huge difference? Take action now, grab the opportunity, and you’ll see the results. Social media truly rocks!

This post is spot on and it reminds me of a former client who didn’t think that he needed to have his share buttons visible because no one would want to share them. But fundamentally, he just didn’t understand that it was a way to build his brand and really interact with his audience. Great post!
