6 Reasons Your Employees Might Quit Working for You

 

Are you frustrated with employees who seem to be more getting on your nerves and driving you nuts?

Do you wish your employees shared your commitment to your organization’s goals and success?

In other words, majority of employees are not particularly “into” their employer, the organization’s well being, or its goals. Could they be lackadaisical or is it plain insensitivity on the part of the employer that has caused this?

Perhaps you might recognize the reasons below and begin to work and adjust yourself.

1. Lack of Manager’s Ability to create an environment that fosters passion

Not building an environment that fosters courage, the desire for excellence and a willingness to go the extra mile kills the spirit of your team. To do this, you must be a good team leader (you’ve got no choice). You also need to show the passion you have towards the business. This way, your employees would have something to emulate.

2. Lack of Motivation

When your employees do not get inspired by you to continuously, they cannot perform better and achieve extraordinary results. They want to be kept on their toes and be challenged. They continuously want to develop themselves, to achieve the best they can

3. When You Do Not Appreciate your Team

When employees feel like the sacrifices they make, the extra effort they put in, and the great job they do is taken for granted, they gradually learn that what they do doesn’t matter. They stop feeling like it matters, so they stop doing it.

4. Inconsistency in Payment of Salary and Benefit

A worker is worthy of his wages. No one wants to work and not get paid or better still have his wage delayed. This is one way to get your employees uninterested in you. Salariesmust be paid depending on the agreement of contract, daily, weekly or monthly.

5. Poor Welfare Package or Incentive

When there are no structure in place to take care of Welfare and incentives, it demotivates your team. Employees want to be sure that packages such as medicals can be comfortably taken care of by you. The absence of this causes them to want to seek other places where this will be available.

6. Your company is ethically challenged

Perhaps, you lie to your customers about the quality of the products  or the day on which product will be shipped. Your employees get aware that the company is stealing information from competitors. Whatever the issue, they won’t want to stay in an organization that isn’t transparent in its dealing.

Above all these reasons, did you know that you could lose quality and talented employees? It is usually very important for you as an entrepreneur to critically work on yourself so that you do not end up like some entrepreneurs do. Some started out in business and because of attitude problem, ended up too soon frustrated.

No one wants to work with a frustrated manager for any reason. The more frustrated you are, the more you vent your anger on your team.

There are always more things that you can do to make your workplace a better one for your employees. It’s time to put on the thinking cap and come up with as better ways to handle your team.

    Good list Valentine and I would add for managers to learn to delegate and reward initiative as amazing things can occur when employees get some freedom.

      Thanks for stopping by!, Employee’s productivity depends on their employer, if u motivate them and give them some space to explore and be innovative, not choking them with your directives all the time, they’re sure gonna be more productive and amazing things are bond to happen to your business through them.

    That’s a great post and all the points you listed are true.

    I have been there and I worked for such a company where the employee is not appreciated and the leadership was lousy and they suck the energy out of the employee. When the leadership is lousy, most of the mentioned points apply.

Any employer that treats his employees like slaves, not giving them chances to be innovative and exercise a little creativity in the business, the job is gonna be boring for the employees and they are gonna loose interest and the business is sure going to crash when they treat it with an ‘I don’t care’ attitude.
